Not only are paintings rendered as ornamental and decorative art, but real pieces of art inspired by Italian baroque architecture and synthesized in contemporary and elegant canvases appreciated and chosen by a large number of connoisseurs.
The Baroque embraces a decorative exuberance. Fundamental characteristics of Baroque architecture are plastic forms, with the predilection of curved lines, with sinuous trends, such as ellipses, spirals, or curves with polycentric construction. Gold, silver, and strong colors such as purple, plum, and black for a high-impact effect that can be dampened by the use of neutral colors such as the characteristic colors of white and beige.
Included among the elements of inspiration, beyond the Baroque, I choose the Portoro marble. Portoro marble, or Portovenere, is a fine variety of Italian marble coming from the evocative Gulf of Poets, in the Ligurian province of La Spezia, and is one of the most beautiful polychrome marbles. This precious Italian stone boasts an intense and bright black color with golden veins ranging from pure yellow to honey.
The real art is to make something very laborious and authentic in this case baroque architecture, in something simple and concrete, in a very modern key, without subtracting its beauty and elegance.
The choice of texture or touchable and not only visible art also arises from a personal experience of the artist.
